My Creation: The Peony Candle in a Porcelain Cup
I am delighted to present a piece that is particularly dear to me. As an artisan, my goal is to transform an everyday object into a true sensory experience. This handcrafted peony-shaped candle is not just a source of light; it is an olfactory sculpture nestled in a fine porcelain vessel.
For this creation, I chose to work with 100% natural soy wax. Why? Because it allows for a clean, toxin-free burn and reproduces fragrances with incredible fidelity. I meticulously sculpted each peony petal, available in shades of powdery pink or passionate red, to capture the ephemeral elegance of the flower at its peak.
Visual contrast is central to my approach: the flower rests on a bed of spring-green wax, evoking the freshness of a garden after the dew has fallen. The entire gift is presented in a delicate, vintage porcelain cup, chosen for its exquisite quality, which you can reuse once the candle has burned down. To complete this ideal gift, I add an organza ribbon for the final touch of refinement.
