Safety Tips for Using Candles
Dear Customers,
To fully enjoy your candles with complete peace of mind, we encourage you to follow these essential safety recommendations.
Before Lighting
**Choose the Right Location.** Always place your candle on a stable, flat, and heat-resistant surface. Make sure it is away from any flammable materials such as curtains, fabrics, paper, or furniture. Maintain a safe distance of at least 30 centimeters from any combustible object.
**Check the Environment.** Keep your candles out of reach of children and pets. Avoid placing them in walkways where they could be accidentally knocked over.
During Use
**Supervise at All Times.** Never leave a burning candle unattended. If you leave the room, even briefly, always extinguish your candle. It is also not recommended to leave a burning candle while you sleep.
**Protect the flame from drafts.** Open windows, fans, or air conditioning can cause the flame to flicker and burn unevenly, or even produce sparks. A stable flame should be about 2 to 3 centimeters high.
**Respect the burn time.** For optimal burning, light your candle for a maximum of 2 to 4 hours at a time. This allows the wax to melt evenly across the entire surface and prevents tunneling in the center.
Wick Maintenance
**Trim the wick regularly.** Before each use, trim the wick to about 5 millimeters. An excessively long wick produces an excessive flame, soot, and can create black mold that falls into the wax. Use a wick trimmer or suitable scissors, and perform this operation on an unlit and cooled candle.
**Recenter the wick if necessary.** If you notice the wick moving toward the edge of the container while burning, gently extinguish the candle, wait until the wax is slightly soft, and reposition the wick in the center.
Extinguishing and Final Precautions
**Extinguish Properly.** Use a candle snuffer or gently blow out the flame. Avoid blowing too hard to extinguish the candle, as this can spray melted wax. Never dip the wick into the wax to extinguish it, as this can make relighting the candle more difficult.
**Let Cool Completely.** Wait until the wax has completely solidified before moving, handling, or storing your candle. The container may remain warm for some time after extinguishing.
**Respect the Usage Limit.** Stop using your candle when approximately 1 centimeter of wax remains in the container. Continuing to burn a candle beyond this point can overheat the container and pose a risk.
In case of emergency
If the wax catches fire, neer use water to extinguish it. Cover the candle with a metal lid or use a suitable fire extinguisher. In case of excessive smoke or an abnormal flame, immediately extinguish the candle and ventilate the room.
By following these simple instructions, you can safely enjoy the warm and soothing ambiance of your candles. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about using our products.
